 Email Marketing Campaign

Our years of research have told us to expect an absolute minimum user base of at least 8% of the UK population. That equates to just over 5 million regular users (using the site at least once per month.) But we expect well in excess of this figure as popularity grows.

Each user must register to use the site functions, during which time they must input their date of birth. So straight away we know their birthday and how old they will be. They also have the option to input three extra key dates that they would usually celebrate by going out for a meal, such as wedding anniversary etc... That means a potential database of up to 20 million key dates.

Each subscribed restaurant will have a virtual 5 mile radius around it. You can choose through your Control Panel to turn on a "key date notifyer". Seven days prior to each user's key date within that 5 mile radius, an alert will be sent to the restaurant client telling them of the impending celebration with the user's name, type of celebration, and contact email. You will then have the option to send that user a complimentary offer to entice them to celebrate with a meal in your restaurant. All users will have opted in to this service.

This is a massively useful method of bringing extra customers in. Especially at quiet times such as January and February. The restaurant can for instance stock up on a few cases of cheap £7 bubbly and start a campaign. Then contact lots of local users congratulating them on their impending birthday or whatever, You may wish to say something along the lines of.....

"Hi Mandy... Congratulations on your approaching 32nd birthday from all of us at Vichie's Restaurant. We would like to make the occasion that little more special for you. If you would like to celebrate your special day with us, then we would love to have you over where we will have a free bottle of champagne waiting on ice for you. Just click the link below to book a table of at least 2 at our restaurant, and we will give you special pampering to make your day extra special"

There will of course be special email templates for you to use with a link to your restaurant pages on letsgoeat.co.uk and also a link to your table booking page.
